Melanie de Souza is a freelance video editor, producer, and director based in NYC. With two years experience in the editorial department at The Mill, I have a unique perspective on editing with a visual effects pipeline. This enhances my understanding of the whole process, all the way from transcoding, breaking down footage, editing, posting, making changes, and prepping for finish. 

I have been a freelance editor for about three and a half years. Some companies I've worked for include Final Cut, Unreasonable Studios, & Kin.

I have worked on a variety of indie and commercial projects which includes broadcast commercials, music videos, dance films, narrative shorts, feature films, BTS videos, sizzle reels, and videos for social media; I have seen it all!
